The Consoles Sport League provides convicted cheaters with the one-off opportunity to write an essay in order to rehabilitate. The users concerned can do this in order to prove that they realize that they have done something wrong and that they have changed since they have been barred. The essay topics will vary and depend on the case and the player. It is up to the convicted players to contact the ESL as we will of course not contact them!

The following requirements have to be fulfilled:

• No tricks.
• The essays have to be written in understandable English, only very few spelling mistakes will be tolerated.
• A list of links to CWs in which the player has cheated has to be added.
• This is a one-off opportunity, once you have failed you will not get a second opportunity.
• Players concerned have to write a support ticket in which they ask for rehabilitation within 12 weeks after they have been barred. The admins of the rehabilitation team will not answer such tickets before 6 weeks have passed since the player has been barred. Any tickets asking for rehabilitation that do not meet the deadline will be rejected.
• If a player has got more than 12 penalty points for cheating and the rehabilitation is successful, all penalty points connected to cheating will be reduced to 7. Penalty points given for other reasons like insults or missing demos will not be reduced.
• Support tickets of players with open protests, supports or fake account suspicion will not be worked on until all tickets are closed. Nevertheless the player concerned has to meet the 12 weeks deadline.
• Essays are no longer sent to the responsible admin via email but have to be uploaded in the support ticket. The essays will also be checked for spelling, grammar, style and expression. Essays that do not fulfill these requirements can be rejected. Please note that you will be given an essay topic by the admins. Essays with topics chosen by the user himself will not be accepted.
• Apart from the essay itself, the player concerned has to reflect upon his experiences with cheating. This means that he has to tell about his case, including an explanation why he cheated.
• The admin team will not give reasons if they reject an essay.
• The rehabilitation will be revoked immediately if the player concerned fails to comply with the conditions mentioned below or if it turns out that he only pretended to understand that he did something wrong.
• A successful rehabilitation means that the player has to comply with certain conditions. Failure to comply with those conditions results in the rehabilitation being revoked immediately:
1. ESL Playercard Trusted Level 2
2. Uploading demos for all matches is mandatory. The demos do not have to be requested by the opponent.
3. The player must not break any important rules within the next six months. It will not be regarded as a serious violation if you do not appear to a match once or if you once forget to upload a screenshot but the rehabilitation can be revoked if such violations recur.
Failing to upload a demo etc. are of course severe violations and result in the rehabilitation being revoked immediately.
4. Following the netiquette is mandatory. Insults or similar things result in the rehabilitation being revoked.
